United Way of Horry County has teamed up with Mobile Meals of the Grand Strand and the Horry County Council on Aging to provide over 550 senior shut-ins with useful and necessary hygiene items in 2018. Volunteers will have the opportunity to fill the bags with toiletries, small gifts, etc. to brighten a senior’s day. The bags will also include a letter from a local kindergartner as their way of paying it forward from United Way and CCU’s Caring for Kindergartners program.

You can help by picking up a bag at any Chamber of Commerce in Horry County (Conway, Little River, Loris, Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach), radio station WEZV or the United Way of Horry County office and fill it with the following items:

May day Bag

Toothbrush                                      Toothpaste

Soap/Body Wash                             Deodorant

Shampoo/Conditioner                    Tissue

Lotions/Powders                             Stationary/Pens

First Aid Kit                                     Any Special Gift Items (ie. Crossword Puzzles)

With the help of volunteers in 2017, we were able to fill 700 bags.  That means every person who gets a home delivered meal in Horry County got a bag.
