United Way of Horry County collects items like toiletries, books, and puzzles during the month of April to deliver to shut-ins come the first week of May.  Myrtle Beach Mall provides the bags that volunteers fill with the gifts.

The recipients are identified through Horry County Council on Aging and Mobile Meals of the Grand Strand.

2016 was the 16th year for the program.  United Way of Horry County teamed up with the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, Grand Strand Medical, and First Palmetto Bank to stuff and deliver the bags to our home bound, mostly senior citizens.

With the help of volunteers, we were able to fill 500 bags.  That means every person who gets a home delivered meal in Horry County got a bag.
