The Public Health Reserve Corps will support drive through testing sites throughout the Pee Dee Region. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up for a shift below. Upon arrival at the site, new volunteers will complete initial paperwork to include a background check and a confidentiality form (no cost to the volunteer, please bring your ID). Volunteers will be provided just in time training onsite and will be provided an opportunity to view the various stations for a better understanding of the drive through process.
Six volunteers are needed in the morning for logistics roles, six volunteers are needed in the afternoon for logistics role and six volunteers are needed throughout the day for runner/registrations. Age limit needs to be 18 and above. The preference is that volunteers will need to bring their own PPE including a mask and light work gloves. PPE will be provided if needed based on the role. Clothing should be long pants, polo shirt, closed toe shoes (boots or tennis shoes are fine) and no shirts with pictures or advertisement please. When volunteers come to the event, they can call Haley Rissell at 843-504-6330 and she can direct them to where they need to go.
Morning set up – 8 am to 10 am – Set up tents, chairs, tables etc. May observe drive through activities after set up.
Afternoon take down – 3 pm to 5 pm – Take down and pack tents, chairs tables etc. May observe drive through activities before take down.
Runner – 9 am to 4 pm – Assemble packets and make sure supplies are available at each station.
Registration/Greeter – 9 am to 4 pm – Will greet cars as they enter the drive through testing site to provide clients paperwork packets needed for registration.
Packet assembly – 9 am to 4 pm – Will assemble packets needed for registration throughout the day.
Combined assignment – 8 am to 5 pm – volunteer will assist with logistics and serve as a greeter, assemble packets or assist with various logistical needs.
