Horry County School District and United Way of Horry County have partnered together to coordinate a program that gives students in need, one-on-one attention to advance their progress in a subject where they’re falling behind. This could be reading, math, behavior, etc.
Volunteers will be matched with a student and will meet once a week during school hours. A weekly, 30-45 minute time will be coordinated through the school’s instructional coach. We hope over time the student and mentor develop a positive and progressive relationship.
