Newcomers United

Whether you’ve recently moved to Horry County or are just beginning your journey with United Way, Newcomers United helps you connect with your community, meet like-minded people, and give back in meaningful ways.

New to the area—or just new to giving back? You’re in the right place.

Newcomers United is a welcoming group created by United Way of Horry County for people who are ready to get involved—whether you’ve recently relocated to the Grand Strand or are simply looking for new ways to engage with your community.

This program offers a friendly starting point for those who want to meet others, understand local challenges, and contribute their time, skills, or resources.


2026 Meeting Schedule

Newcomers United meets every 2nd Friday at various locations, check the event calendar for details or see the list of upcoming meetings below!


Whether you’re new to Horry County or new to United Way, we’d love to meet you.

Dates:
January 9th @ Be Known Coffee Company (Little River)

February 13th @ A Cup Full (Conway)

March 13th @ Beach Hippie Cafe (Myrtle Beach, 53rd location)

Time: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
