Santee Cooper's Community Assistance Program

Community Cares is Santee Cooper’s customer assistance program that helps residential customers who are facing financial hardship. The program is funded by donations from people who want to support their neighbors during difficult times.

Through our partnership with United Way of Horry County, Black River United Way, and Trident United Way, all contributions go into a dedicated Community Cares fund for Santee Cooper customers in Horry, Georgetown, and Berkeley counties. Donations are tax deductible, and eligible customers can receive assistance once every 24 months to help cover their electric bill and avoid disconnection.
