Community Resiliency
We support programs that meet basic needs and strengthen stability for people facing hardship. Our work includes expanding access to food, safe housing, health services, essential supplies, and transportation. By building a coordinated network of emergency assistance, we help vulnerable residents stay secure during difficult times and move forward with confidence.
Disaster Preparedness
United Way of Horry County has supported residents during disasters since 1973. We work with a wide network of partners to provide clear information, immediate help, and long term recovery support. Through the 211 Help Line and direct coordination with local agencies, we make sure people get connected to the resources they need as quickly as possible.
Community Partnerships
UWHC is an active member of Waccamaw VOAD, a group of nonprofit and volunteer organizations that coordinate support for residents after disasters. This collaboration helps our community recover faster and ensures local families have consistent and reliable help.
