Community Resiliency
Creating a Stronger, More Resilient Community
Everyone deserves the security of knowing their basic needs will be met. Through collaboration, we work to ensure access to food, shelter, clothing, transportation, and healthcare — building a community that can respond to today’s challenges and prepare for tomorrow.
The first day of kindergarten feels a lot less scary once you've already experienced it.
That's the idea behind Ready, Set, Kindergarten!, a wonderful program from United Way of Horry County that gives rising kindergartners a chance to experience a real classroom before Fall 2027, completely free.
Thank you to United Way of Horry County for offering this opportunity to our families!
Check out their post for all the details on locations and dates.

Meet CoTisha and her son Carmelo 💙
As a single mom of three, CoTisha faced the daily reality of being ALICE: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. Working hard, but still falling short of the basics. She never gave up, and she never did it alone.
Today, Carmelo is first generation college student. Watch their story and see what's possible when a community rallies around a family.
This is why our Annual Campaign matters. Give, volunteer, or advocate today 🫶 #UnitedIsTheWay ... See MoreSee Less

CoTisha is a single mother of three in Horry County. She's worked hard every single day. And still, some days, it hasn't felt like enough.
This week we're sharing her story, and her son Carmelo's, about sacrifice, resilience, and what's possible when a community shows up for its neighbors.
Watch it tomorrow 💙 #UnitedIsTheWay ... See MoreSee Less
