Community Resiliency
Creating a Stronger, More Resilient Community
Everyone deserves the security of knowing their basic needs will be met. Through collaboration, we work to ensure access to food, shelter, clothing, transportation, and healthcare — building a community that can respond to today’s challenges and prepare for tomorrow.
Big news for Horry County 💙
Last week at our State of Our Families event, we unveiled our 2025 Community Needs Assessment and new Community Game Plan—a roadmap built from the voices of more than 3,000 community members.
Here’s what we’re seeing:
• 41% of households are ALICE—working, but struggling to afford basic needs
• Only 19% of residents rate community health as good or excellent
• 2 out of 3 people are concerned about preparing youth for the workforce
• Mental health care remains the most unmet need
This data is more than numbers—it’s a call to action.
Our Community Game Plan will guide how we invest, partner, and take action to support ALICE families and build a stronger, more resilient Horry County.
