Santee Cooper’s Community Assistance Program

Community Cares is Santee Cooper’s customer assistance program, funded by our customers for our customers.  We understand our customers can sometimes face periodic financial hardship, so we’ve created a program that allows you to help.

Through our collaboration with the United Way of Horry County, Black River United Way, and Trident United Way, donations will be placed in a Community Cares fund specifically for Santee Cooper residential customers that experience hardship and need help with their utility bill. All donations made to Community Cares are tax-deductible and will assist our customers in Horry, Georgetown & Berkeley counties.

As Community Cares funds are established, those who meet eligibility requirements may receive assistance once in a 24-month period to offset the cost of their electric bill to avoid disconnection.
