Community Champion Week

Community Champion Week is a week where staff and board members visit with businesses and individuals who have given to United Way of Horry County for 3 consecutive years and have made the largest percent pledge increase in their sector.

Sectors are categories that businesses are classified under. We have 7 sectors that we recognize for Community Champion Week: Inland Business, Myrtle Beach Business, North Strand Business, South Strand Business, Public Service, Professional, and Residential. The following are our 2021/2022 Community Champions:

South Strand Business: First Palmetto Bank

North Strand Business: Ron Jon Surf Shop – Barefoot Landing

Myrtle Beach Business: SouthState Bank

Professional: Terry Belden, MD, Myrtle Beach Family Medicine

Residential: Rhett Sansbury

Inland Business: Enterprise Rent-A-Car
