Make plans to join us for one of our upcoming events
Caring for Kindergarteners is an event partnered with Coastal Carolina University’s Athletic Department. Coastal Carolina student athletes read a book to kindergarten classes within Horry County Schools. This event promotes volunteerism and the importance of early childhood literacy.
This is a donor appreciation event where United Way of Horry County recognizes businesses and an individual who has been giving for three consecutive years and has made the largest percent pledge increase in its sector.
The Hidden Hero award is presented to a person or organization that has went above and beyond with their service and leadership for United Way of Horry County in the past year.
Camp United is a summer learning program being held at Loris Elementary. Kindergarten and First Grade students will benefit from this program.
Moon and Stars
Moon and Stars is an annual donor appreciation event for individuals giving $1,000 and up. We recognize our Crescent and Tocqueville Giving Societies, hear a testimonial from one of our community partners, and engage in networking and community building.
Volunteer Victory Luncheon
Volunteer Victory Luncheon is an annual volunteer appreciation event. We invite all of the individuals who have dedicated their time to United Way of Horry County over the last year. Whether they participated in Day of Caring or read to a first grader for United to Read, we want our volunteers to know that we would not be successful without their efforts.
