THRIVE

A Connection to Long-Term Stability

Through the THRIVE Program, our team of Community Resource Coordinators (CRC) provide intensive case management by assessing clients’ strengths and needs, making referrals, helping them develop goals, and coaching them on their path to financial stability.

How Does the Program Work?

Sometimes, all you need is to be pointed in the right direction or connected to the right resource. We have embedded our THRIVE team in communities throughout Horry County, particularly across rural areas, to serve populations in great need of economic mobility support. Through this model, we can meet individuals and families where they are on the journey to becoming self-sufficient.

Areas that our CRCs may be able to assist with include:

  • Benefit Applications
  • SNAP, TANF, Welvista & Medicaid Applications
  • Referral Services
  • Financial Counseling
  • Education
  • Transportation
  • Employment
  • Goal Setting

Notice: Our team can NOT provide emergency financial assistance. If you are seeking financial assistance for rent, utilities, etc., we encourage you to reach out to 2-1-1 to see what services might be available in our community to help.

SC Thrive helps families unlock life-changing resources—from SNAP to healthcare to financial assistance. This is what support looks like.

Thriving Together Class

United Way of Horry County and The Joshua Foundation offer a series of free monthly education classes designed to empower our community through education and support.

More classes coming up in 2026, information coming soon!
