Ready, Set Kindergarten, presented by HTC, is for preschool children who will enter kindergarten at Horry County Schools in the coming school year.

2026-2027 School Year Sessions will be held a 6 area schools:

• Conway Elementary
• Daisy Elementary
• Green Sea Floyds Elementary
• Seaside Elementary
• Socastee Elementary
• St. James Elementary

During this one hour “Day in Kindergarten” experience, children and their caregivers will:

• Explore a real kindergarten classroom
• Take part in play-based learning activities
• Practice routines like lining up, circle time, and center time
• Learn simple strategies to get ready for kindergarten at home

Families will leave with resources, a book, and tools to help their child feel confident and excited about the first day of school.

Location: Horry County Schools across the county, 6 different locations (4 sessions in the Fall and 4 sessions in the Spring at each participating school)
Audience: Preschoolers who are rising kindergarteners and their caregivers
Cost: FREE
Space: Limited to 15 families per session
