Day of Caring

Day of Caring is an annual day of service where volunteers join UWHC to give back to the community. Our 2024 Day of Caring will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024. This year’s main project location will be Ability Beyond Barriers (previously known as Horry County Disabilities & Special Needs). All projects will be outdoors and range from landscaping, pressure washing, laying sod, painting, and removing debris.

Due to the overwhelming response and demand for volunteer opportunities, we are excited to announce that we have added another location for our Day of Caring event with SOS Oak Tree Farm! This additional site will allow even more volunteers to participate in making a positive impact in our community.

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION IS NOW FULL!!

If you’d like to sign up for updates on future projects, you may do so here.

All volunteers will arrive for registration and breakfast at the Horry Georgetown Technical College, Conway Campus, Building 1100B, in the Cafe (please look for signs) between 8:00 am – 8:30 am. Parking will be available in the lot on the corner of Victory Lane and Technology Boulevard, signs will be out to direct you. A short program will begin around 8:15 am, followed by a group picture.
