UWHC has presented the 2022 Hidden Hero Award posthumously to Celeste Bondurant-Bell.
The Hidden Hero Award is given annually to an individual or organization that has gone above and beyond to help UWHC. The Hidden Hero recipient is often not recognized by the public for the work that they complete, but they are dedicated to our mission and diligently work to give back to Horry County. Read more.

Join Team United Way of Horry County for the 5K on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
For every registered runner/walker on our team, the Myrtle Beach Marathon will donate $5! Kickstart 2023 the right way and help us get Horry County out and active!
VITA Volunteers Needed!
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a free service United Way of Horry County offers. This program provides free tax preparation and electronic filing services to Horry County residents who earned $60,000 or less in 2022.Volunteers are needed to help at three VITA sites in Conway, Myrtle Beach, and Surfside Beach. We hope to add a fourth location again this year in North Myrtle Beach.
Volunteer positions include Greeters, Screeners, and Tax Preparers. Training will be held via Zoom. If you are interested in being a VITA volunteer, find additional information and sign up below. Once you have signed up, you will receive an email with additional information for training sessions and orientation.
